All classes are held at Jivakamara, 72 Berkeley Street, G73 7DS, near to the Mitchell Library.

Seasonal Yoga - Tuesdays 5:30pm to 6:30pm and Fridays 5pm to 6pm

We begin with a gentle warm up, followed by seasonal flow, and then finish with some still, relaxing, postures and a short relaxation. Based around Chinese medicine, seasonal yoga stimulates the meridian channels which are active at different times of year - perfect for bringing harmony and balance back into life.

Power Yoga - Fridays 12:30pm to 13:30pm

Are you in need of a power-boost after a week of sitting? This dynamic class is suitable for all levels of fitness. Options are available and everyone is encouraged to adapt accordingly. This energising and fun class builds strength, transforms stagnant energy and enlivens mental states. We begin with a gentle warm up, followed by some core strength pilates-based practice, enjoy some dynamic vinyasa flow (e.g. sun salutations) and standing postures, finishing with a cool down and relaxation.

Gentle Yoga - Fridays 3:45pm to 4:45pm

This calming and relaxing class offers a soothing experience. We begin with a short meditation and some deep breathing, followed by gentle movement to ease tension and increase flexibility, and end with a relaxation. This is an ideal class to cultivate inner calm and balance both body and mind.

Mindfulness & Tea - Fridays 2pm to 3pm/3:30pm (your choice)

These Friday afternoon sessions are the perfect retreat after a busy week. The sessions are designed so those who need silence and tranquility can enjoy an hour of guided practice and gentle teaching input, giving the option to leave before tea, or to stay and connect with other meditators.

The hour-long sessions are primarily experiential, with only a brief teaching input each week. We will enjoy 2 guided meditations, with a light teaching or reading mid-way through. We have chairs and a range of cushions for meditation, and can assist you to find a comfortable posture - laying down is also welcome!

Each week will include a digital handout including tips for home practice, and a link to a different guided meditation each week.

This is ideal for beginners as well as those with some knowledge of mindfulness who would like to refresh their practice or practice as part of a group. Registration is required in advance of the first session, please contact Fi for details.
