The church is not a building,
the church is not a steeple,
the church is not a meeting place,
the church is a people.

This simple rhyme is of particular relevance to Partick South as well as the surrounding community. We have been blessed with a lovely modern church complex on Dumbarton Road, about halfway between the Kelvin Hall and Partick railway station.

However, in Partick South, it's people who matter and we believe that people are best served by making Jesus known to them, the theme of our Mission Statement.

Our minister is the Reverend Alan "Dusty" Dunnett LL.B BD., who joined us in December 1997 from his previous position as Church of Scotland Chaplain of Strathclyde University. Before studying for the ministry, Dusty was a partner in his Firm of Solicitors in Edinburgh prior to entering the Ministry.

In addition to our many active organisations, we are always striving to seek ways to bring the glory of God to the local community. This has included imaginative Missions for primary school age children and Sports Missions for Secondary age young people throughout the parish and beyond, as well as concerts, a tearoom which is open six days per week, and our Alpha Courses. The minister and congregation are keen to operate ventures which serve the needs of local people in a practical way, showing that fun and faith are not mutually exclusive.
